WHY JOIN MIDC?

TO HELP VOICE THE MESSAGE OF PROFESSIONAL INTERIOR DESIGNERS IN MASSACHUSETTS

Professional Interior Design is a credible, viable, separate profession that deserves to be recognized by the Commonwealth, as our peers are in 27 states including our neighbors CT, NY, and ME.

Help us secure the legal right for Professional Interior Designers to independently provide the services they are qualified to perform and be equitably included in the state definition of a design professional.

Promote the integrity of the work we do and spread awareness of the impact of the work we do on the health, safety and welfare of the people of the Commonwealth.  Defining the practice of Interior Design and demonstrating levels of competency strengthens the profession and the value to our professional colleagues and to the consumer.

To be effective, MIDC needs broad-based support from the design community; people willing to belong, to work with us, to advocate in their communities.  We need committed professionals to be part of MIDC.
